PHOTOGRAPHY FOR ME IS PURE ESCAPE - FROM A HOBBY TO A PURSUIT.
It is about discovering images in a certain way that others may not perceive until I produce them. I discover them by chance with my mind first as I pass by, my heart feels the vision next, and finally my eyes take note. The camera just happens to be the tool.

FROM SOUTH AFRICA & LIVE IN CANADA
I was born in South Africa a long time ago. I lived on family farms as a youth. With an artistic bent from my early childhood I studied Graphic Design at a Durban college following my South African military service in the early 1970s. However, the adventurous life beckoned after Art College – and I became fully involved in the bitter military conflict in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) for three years in a commando unit, the Rhodesian Light Infantry in the 70s. Back in South Africa; following this very rude awakening to my mind, to life and man's folly; I worked successfully in the business field in Durban before immigrating to Canada in 1987, where I continue in the business field.
